Okay, so my news isn't so earth-blazing (hee hee):
The winner of the 50-followers contest is Sandy Shin!
Email your shipping address to katrina (dot) lantz (at) gmail (dot) com to claim your prize of the best punctuation book ever: Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss.
Thank you to everyone who participated, and to all my faithful blogging buddies. I should do this more often. I love prizes!
What is your favorite kind of contest?
a) writing, like a pitch or a bad query or pick-up lines
b) following, tweeting, blogging by points
c) creating something, like vlogs or drawings
d) answering questions (like our "how do you rate your punctuation skillz" query)
e) something else brilliant I haven't thought of
What about prizes?
books, gift cards, critiques, t-shirts?
Let me know in the comments. :-)
Oh. OH WOW. I'm so, so insanely happy. Thank you so much! I've read EATS, SHOOTS, AND LEAVES a few years ago from the library and remember laughing so hard. I'd love to have a copy of it for myself. Emailing you right away!
ReplyDeleteI'm both lazy and forgetful, so I tend to bookmark and then forget to enter for anything that isn't (b) -- but I do love them when I do remember. As for prizes, all those are awesome (although, being an aspiring writer, I'm attracted to critiques). :)
Congrats Sandy!
ReplyDeleteKatrina, I'm attracted to critiques too! ( I've started writing contest deadlines on a calender so I can remember when to go back and check to see who's won!) And I like a, d and e =) Oh and all of those prizes sound nice to me!
You are so very welcome, Sandy! The drawing was random, but I'm so glad you won. I always want to say thank you to you for commenting on my first posts when hardly anyone else was around. :-)
ReplyDeleteI ordered Eats, Shoots, and Leaves, and it should be to you within two days!
Personally, I like the contests you can do in one visit (not with all the tweeting, etc.) but where you have the chance to be creative, too.
Oh, speaking of winning critiques, did you check out the Operation Awesome contest? There are five critiques up for grabs. To enter, you just have to follow http://www.operationawesome6.blogspot.com and comment on the contest post. Good luck!
LOL Jessica! You like e)something else brilliant I haven't thought of? I like that one, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw you already signed up for the Operation Awesome Thank You Contest. Good luck to you, too! There are 6 prizes to win! *sigh* I love prizes.
Yes, Katrina, I love brilliant things people haven't thought of yet (uh, no pressure or anything...). LOL And I love prizes too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Sandy. Great contest, Katrina.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm a gal who loves a good contest ;-)
