Books have helped shape my life as well!!! What a honor it would be to help shape others. By the way, your Dad grew up having what you called "Pop Eyes" here - we just called it "egg bread" and it was a regular thing in our household. Isn't that funny!!!!??? I guess it wasn't one of his favorites!!! And Secret Garden was my FAVORITE book when I was a little girl! Thanks for mentioning it C.R.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16586114184374583272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8571939125765761515.post-42885584250798223362010-11-22T08:19:41.455-08:002010-11-22T08:19:41.455-08:00I'm totally with you guys! They've spoken to me in so many ways.

My daughter is reading The Secret Garden for the first time and I'm thrilled to see how much she's enjoying it. I feel like I'm reading it for the first time through her eyes. So much fun!C.R. I was a freckle-faced kid and soooo identified with Anne (I also like my nose!)

I remember summer trips to the library in my small town. Kept rejecting The Purple Palamino because I didn't like the cover. Having exhausted alternatives, I finally read the book and, WOW, it was one of the best books ever. Learned a valuable lesson that stayed with me.Kittie Howardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07756250649095903317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8571939125765761515.post-56575660288680530842010-11-19T11:31:26.332-08:002010-11-19T11:31:26.332-08:00I love this post.
